Yoga instructor and fully qualified Primary School Teacher, I have 3 children aged 12, 15 and 19, (one of whom is on the autistic spectrum.), which while being very rewarding can be challenging as I’m sure the rest of you parents out there understand.
I have always been very keen on being fit and active but found walking into the gym quite intimidating, seemingly surrounded by perfectly sculpted bodies performing high-intensity workouts with flawless ease. I also received a diagnosis of seronegative arthritis a few years ago which ruled out some of the more high impact exercises and made me re-assess my exercise regime.
Through my own experience and those of a lot of my family and friends I have found Yoga the perfect method for keeping me fit, active and flexible, and the concentration it brings is the perfect de-stress for a hectic lifestyle
I have been practicing Yoga for 12 years and teaching for 7.
My main focus is Hatha Yoga, Hatha is derived from Sanskrit and is generally believed to have two meanings; Ha means Sun and Tha means Moon. My main focus is Hatha Yoga, Hatha is derived from Sanskrit and is generally believed to have two meanings; Ha means Sun and Tha means Moon. This interpretation of the word emphasizes the balance that is the cornerstone of Yogic practice, a balance and harmony between what sometimes seem like opposite forces within us, the balance and unity of body and mind. The other definition of Hatha is “forceful” or “strong”, but don’t be misled by this interpretation, this refers more to the power of transformation that can be achieved through the practice of Hatha Yoga than the strength needed to practice.
My yoga classes focus on gentle movement and on the form of the pose to improve flexibility, posture and just as importantly concentrate the mind. This allows you build both body and mind together, helping you de-stress and build fitness.
Through my own life experiences and working life, I have developed a specialism in teaching yoga to beginners and those with disabilities and special needs. Our world is now moving at a very rapid pace, taking time to listen to your body is an important skill and can help well-being for both the body and mind.
Seeing the benefits of this with the clients I worked on and my own practice with back care and the benefits for those with special educational needs and there grew my interest. I have a purpose-built studio set to take up to 4 clients. I can work on a 1-1 basis or with mini groups in this area.

Owner Bernard Genge
After falling in love with this old water-powered flour mill (molino viejo) near Serón in rural Almería, I bought it in 2003. As someone who is obsessed with health and fitness, it was the realisation of a dream:
Situated at the foothold of the Sierra de los Filabres mountain range it is accommodation for groups who want adventure. With the mill oozing character and in a secluded spot with spectacular scenery all around, securing your own adventure is a must, whether you seek that yourself or use our local English guide to help you.
The mill has 5 bedrooms (we have additional accommodation nearby) with twin beds (doubles can be supplied on request), an inside and outside lounge area, dining area, sun terraces and away from the noise, hustle and bustle of regular life! Come to us if you are looking for accommodation in a relaxed atmosphere and countryside waiting to be explored on foot, bike or vehicle, but not if you are looking for the crowded costa resorts.
We have mountain bikes you can hire at minimal cost, personal friends nearby who have additional apartment accommodation and their own swimming pool and Jacuzzi so after a day of exertion and fun you could relax by their pool or go back to the Mill to one of the outside ‘chill out’ areas!

With the mill oozing character and in a secluded spot with spectacular scenery all around, securing your own adventure is a must.
The mill has 6 bedrooms, an inside and outside lounge area, dining area, sun terraces, and away from the noise, hustle and bustle of regular life!
Come to us if you are looking for accommodation in a relaxed atmosphere and countryside waiting to be explored on foot, bike or vehicle, but not if you are looking for the crowded costa resorts!
We have mountain bikes you can use, terrace patio areas for relaxing, an indoor studio for group work, your own private swimming pool and many quiet areas suitable for time alone and personal reflection.
1) Activity BreaksThe rural location of the Old Spanish Mill in the foothills of Los Filabres mountain range makes this the perfect place for an activity break, whether that is running, cycling (we have eight mountain bikes), triathlon training, hiking or kayaking.
2) Mini GroupsWhile the property lends itself to larger groups, if we have availability outside of these exclusive whole property bookings, we are more than happy to cater for people who would like a “mini break.” If you desire a few days away from the hustle and bustle of life and to relax in the peaceful surroundings of this remote, rural location in the foothills of Los Filabres mountain range or to explore the nearby countryside and beyond into Andalusia with its historic towns, cities, and places of interest,
3) Corporate Events Whether you want a facilitated strategy development session, focused leadership or management development, or just time away to gain a renewed focus for your organisation, the Old Spanish Mill is an ideal venue. Set in peaceful, rural surroundings in the foothills of Los Filabres mountain range, with few distractions, you will be able to concentrate on your aims and forge deeper connections to your colleagues.
We have a studio for group work although many groups prefer using one of the outside patio areas.
After your work session, you could have a swim in our pool, relax on a sun lounger or even have a relaxing massage on our massage couch.
For the more active, you could take a hike, go for a run or ride on one of our eight mountain bikes.
Prices for corporate events will depend upon what you require, the number of people attending and whether you would like our professional, independent facilitator/trainer, who has been delivering corporate training and development for 20 years.
See Website for package prices, meals, airport transfers, etc (Under Packages)
Awaiting new details and race date:
Every runner will need to run the 4.2 mile route by 1100 and then at 11 you'll need to do the same by 12 and it will go on like this as long as you can.
It will start at the gym on the outskirts of the stunning town of Seron in the Almeria region of Andalucia. Food will be available (snacks in the afternoon, pasta/soup in the evening and porridge on the Sunday morning) for all runners.
There will be cheap accommodation in the area and it could be turned into a wonderful holiday destination as well. BBQ on the Friday night, but the big question is, 'Will you be the last person standing'

Facebook Old Spanish Mill
This is a long form text area designed for your content that you can fill up with as many words as your heart desires. You can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct space.
Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.
Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a company to do what it does.
Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.
Executive profiles – A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. This is a good place to show off who’s occupying the corner offices. Write a nice bio about each executive that includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are.
